WHO ARE WE?

HEA Consulting Colombia is headed by Laura Viviana Mogollon - a CPA with a long-term specialist history in finance within Colombia.

Laura has more than twelve years of experience across administrative, accounting and financial departments, and contained within that is a decade focused on assisting foreign investors and companies to carry out their business within Colombia. Several of those years has been spent directly working with domestic and foreign multinationals – either working with their branches across Colombia or consulting to their foreign branches.

Laura’s experience across the various financial sectors in Colombia has armed her with the ability to give specialist advice on wide variety of subjects, with some of the more significant being:

• The ability to navigate cross-country double-tax agreements for companies and individuals;
• The intricacies of currency forex exchange and regulation, such as reporting to the Colombian Central Bank on currency operations by cash, wire transfers or through foreign currency bank accounts related to custom borders operations, investments or loans, among others.

Constantly striving to extend her skillset, Laura has been regularly studying. Most recently, Laura has undertaken training in auditing and subsequently received formal, recognized accreditation in the International Standard on Auditing in late 2018.
